Taiji refers to the dynamic state in which unity gives rise to differentiation and relational order.
It is not a material entity, but the fundamental structure through which yin and yang, movement and stillness, and polarity emerge.

Concept Explanation

【English】
If Wuji represents undifferentiated unity, Taiji marks the stage where differentiation and relational dynamics begin.
At this level, yin and yang emerge as complementary poles within an integrated whole.

Taiji does not imply opposition or conflict, but a structure of dynamic balance.
Yin contains yang, yang contains yin; they mutually generate, restrain, and transform each other while maintaining overall harmony.

In Taichi practice and cultivation, Taiji manifests as the coordination of internal relationships within body and mind.
When upper and lower, inner and outer, movement and stillness are integrated, the state of Taiji naturally appears.

Key Distinctions

Taiji describes a relational structure and mode of operation, not a fixed form or static entity.
